Church on the Way Statement of Faith

We believe:-

1. That the Bible divinely inspired is the supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct.

2. In a triune God. Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. In the deity of God, virgin birth, sinless life, divine miracles, vicarious and atoning death. His bodily resurrection, ascension and personal return in power and glory.

3. That man was created sinless but fell into transgression by choosing to disobey God.

4. Universal sinfulness of man since the fall, rendering men subject to God’s wrath and condemnation.

5. We have salvation from the penalty of sin, only through the sacrificial death of our Lord Jesus Christ. Not by our own works. (Eph 2 v 8-9)

6. The indwelling of the Holy Spirit bringing forth fruits of Love, Joy, Peace, Longsuffering, Patience, Self Control, Goodness and kindness (Gal 5 v 22)

7. Baptism in the Holy Spirit, and the operation of the Gifts of the Spirit. Wisdom Faith miracles Healing Prophecy tongues Interpretation of Tongues Word of Knowledge and discerning of spirits

8. That all who have truly repented be baptised in water upon the confession of their faith (Matt 28 v 19, Acts 2 v 38-39)

9. In regular participation of the breaking of bread

10. The resurrection of both the saved and the lost; They that are saved unto the resurrection of life, and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation
